|Professor: Mikio Aoyama, Dr. of Engineering|
Mikio Aoyama is a professor at the Department of Software Engineering, Nanzan University, Japan.
After received MS from Okayama University, Japan, in 1980, he joined Fujitsu Limited, where he involved in the development of large-scale communications software, and the development and practice of advanced software engineering. From 1986 to 1988, he was visiting scholar at the University of Illinois, USA.
In 1995, he joined Niigata Institute of Technology as a professor, then moved to Nanzan University in 2001.
His current research interests include Web services/SOA/cloud computing, requirements engineering, software architectures, and embedded software engineering.
He published some 20 books and more than 100 articles, See Publications.

- Certificate of Appreciation from the IEEE Computer Society in 1993.
- Best Paper Award at the Software Symposium in 1995.
- Best Research Paper Award at the Embedded Software Symposium 2005 (ESS 2005) from Information Processing Society of Japan
- Best Paper Award at the APSEC 2011
- Outstanding Poster Award at IEEE GCCE 2012.
- Best Paper Award at the APSEC 2013 [Dec. 2013].
- 2013 Zengo Award for the best paper in software testing in Japan [Mar. 2014].
