 Web services are emerging technologies ranging from platforms to development methodologies in order to provide e-business applications over the Internet. Thus, the Web services are becoming an integral part for Internet-based applications, gaining attention from both academia and industry. Since the Web services are a new and rapidly evolving area of research, itfs necessary to provide a forum to exchange ideas on the wide variety of technical aspects. This International Workshop on Web Services Engineering, WebSE 2002, is intended to foster discussion on a wide range of emerging technologies for web services.
